I bought this for my 20 pound puggle for Christmas, she is a very active dog that goes for walks every day. The Walmart jackets just didn’t work for her. This one is durable and the leg straps keep the jacket close so she keeps warm. Definitely would buy again.I love the look of this coat and that its adjustable. Being able to make the neck smaller really helps for escape artists like my Bella and her sister (escape artist in training) Dinky. I read someone say go by length. I was buying for a long chihuahua (the neck and chest fit but she’s 13-14 inches long!). I bought a medium. It was huge on her-probably 2-3 in too long and the head hole fit her torso. Thank you, Amazon returns. I ordered a small and sent it back. The small fit perfectly right out of the package (with some neck adjustment since she is an escape artist and managed to get her legs out the head hole at first-the neck adjustment thing is genius!). As you can see she’s long so it doesn’t cover her back completely, but I have no complaints. It’s cute, pink, and will keep her warm. I ordered a second for her sister (who is not as long) after trying it on her. It fit her perfectly. They are puppies so they’re growing out of everything so fast it’s great to have something that will adjust so they can wear it longer. We had a similar style jacket from who knows where (my sister fostered them and brought stuff home) that they’ve grown out of. I wanted another like it. This is perfect! The jacket is really easy to put on. Slip in the head, adjust if needed, and buckle around the waist. It has the straps for the back legs, but you don’t have to use them. The hardest part is catching the dog (we’re talking 5ish month old puppies). I don’t have a picture of Dinky (other puppy) wearing it, but she’s not a fan of clothes so if she let me put it on any dog will. I highly recommend this. It’s easy to put it on, soft, and cute. I love the adjustable under the chest buckle. All dog coats should be like this. (Bella is 6-7 pounds and Dinky was 4-5 and the small is perfect.)Perfect for cold and rainy weather conditions!This past Winters brutal cold temps & my FurBaby’s weight gain over 2 yrs, prompted me to get him a new coat that fits.Have to say the Xl was too small & turns out the 2xl is actually too big?? BUT I/ He Love it.??❤️So cozy warm practical stays put w/ the Elastic straps on the back legs & pull string at his neck.He won’t go out in the rain so I put the ‘Deflector Cone’ he had from a cut on his leg last yr over his head So no wet / Rain full coverage head to tail.Oh and I love how it goes from his Neck, under his chest then wraps & connects on his back. The Fleece lining is like a Sherpa.He watches us put on our coats so we just told him he has a nice coat to?. I know?Hey Love my FurBaby?I have searched a while for a good winter dog coat that was long enough for my Goldendoodle (F1 Standard). This coat was perfect! She’s pretty long from neck to rump and this coat covers her entire torso & rump very well, which most other coats do not. I went for the best size according to her neck to rump measurement. Because of that, the chest straps were too long, so I shortened them by folding the black straps & securing the folds & buckles with thin black rubber bands. Each breed is different, so go with the measurement that works best for your dog.This is without a doubt the best dog coat I've ever purchased. It's easy to put on - goes on over the head, but the neck is soft and goes on easily. The lower part then goes over the chest and the ends come up to buckle over the back. No bending and lining up velcro strips! The lining is soft and warm, the outer shell repels water well. It's warm and the neck can adjust to keep wind out. It's the first coat I've had that goes all the way down the back to the tail. I don't use the leg straps as it fits nicely over his hips. I'm so glad to have found this coat and highly recommend it.. I primarily used the back measurement since the chest and neck adjust.Update:After using this coat for several months we purchased another one. We have had so many days with below zero wind chill we decided not to purchase a backup in case of emergency. I don't know what we would without it. It keeps out boy warm, dry and comfy. It also washes wellAt first glance this looked great but I followed the size chart and it was too large for my 14 lb dog. Also, it seemed to smell like chemicals to me. We had to return it due to size so I'm not sure if it would've aired out/been fixed by washing it. It felt like a nice coat for dogs though.Love the color, the warmth, the reflector strip, the neck style…. But a smidge short on her body. Overall, I’ll probably buy a bigger one for next year.
