Description

Designed by the same engineering team behind all of Casper’s sleep products, the dog mattress is a universally comfortable sleep surface for our four-legged friends. We combined our mattress-making know-how with extensive dog-centered research to create a sleep environment that caters to canines’ natural behaviors. Pups spend more than half their lives sleeping. If any species deserves an outrageously comfortable sleep surface, it’s dogs. So we combined pressure-relieving memory foam and durable support foam to create a bed that loves Fido back. Even the most well-behaved dogs have bad days. But no matter how rough they play, most dogs can’t rip through our durable cover material — it’s made with one of the strongest bonded microfibers available. It’s so tough, similar materials are used in performance footwear designed to withstand years of abuse. This bed will keep its shape, thanks to its fortified construction; It won’t sink, slump, or sag over time. Dogs scratch or dig before laying down. That’s an instinct they inherited from their wild ancestors, who would kick up dirt to find cooler ground and brush away debris before turning in for the night. Our surface features excess material on top to mimic the sensation of pawing at loose earth. So dig in, doggies. There’s a reason pups like to squeeze into tight spaces. They’ve learned to seek refuge from predators, so they feel safest in enclosed areas. The supportive foam bolsters of the mattress create a safe space for dogs to lay their heads — literally and figuratively.

We just remodeled and bought a new couch, and I vowed to not let my dog mess up the new couch like she did the last. She’s a couch dog and I thought it would be tough to get her to stay off the couch. We bought a standard cheap bed (thin mattress) and she only slept on it when we were home, back on the couch at night and when we were gone. The couch gives her good head support, it’s soft and cushiony and it just beats a hard floor. So I was on the hunt to find something that mimics what she got from the couch. Stumbled on Casper’s and admittedly was sticker-shocked. I debated spending that much money on a dog bed. Various reviews pulled me in and decided to try it. Here to tell you it’s worth it! She loves it! I haven’t seen her sleep anywhere else since I got it 3 weeks ago, including the couch! It is pricey, but it may be worth it for you too. She’s 75 lbs and the large is perfect.I have the small size Casper dog bed. My two dogs absolutely love it. They both work their way into the bed so they lie in the bed “not touching” so I got them a bigger size so they could either lie in it not touching OR each have a bed to themselves. Strangely enough they are BOTH still trying to get in the small bed together. So for right now it’s just a “meh” from them. They could change their minds. This Casper dog bed is 1 of 4 different brands of dog beds that we have in different rooms of the house. This is one his absolute favorite. His second favorite is the cuddler bed. He is turning 7 this month and showing some signs of arthritis and I truly believe this bed makes him feel the most comfortable and that makes me happy. He is 27 lbs and I went with the medium and he has plenty of extra room. Sometimes I throw a blanket on top to make it extra cozy. The bed is very high quality and easy to assemble and wash. 5 stars from me and my dog.Despite what I may say here, my dog can't vouch for my review. I do like laying my head on it when relaxing on the floor w/ my pooch. I liked it so much i bought two of them. It is easier than our other dog beds to wash the cover and re-install the foam.We got this to replace an older dog bed for the kitchen- Charlie likes to hang out with us while we cook, but also rest. We got the medium size, he’s an 80lb AmStaff who prefers to curl up, plus our kitchen is very small. Win-win.Eucalyptus isn’t as green as pictured, more dark greyish green. The cover is heavy and seems durable. Very easy to zip together. Great purchase!Got two of these for each dog. The cover is extremely durable. My German shepherd puppy has not been able to chew it up like most beds. Obviously for this price and brand you are getting a very nice dog bed that doesn’t go saggy. It is especially worth it if you have a senior dog. My lab is approaching 13 years old and he is able to really get good rest. He has arthritis. If you have the money and you have an older dog I highly recommend this mattress for them. It’s improved his quality of life. These beds were by far the highest quality dog beds we have ever had and they looked like they would hold up really well to their scratching and fluffing of the beds. The bolsters were not as high as the bolsters on their usual beds and they like to lay up against the bolsters and that wasn't really possible with these beds. Again, they seemed awesome, just didn't work out for our dogs.I thought this would be a little more substantial. It's a perfectly fine and ordinary dog bed. On the plus side, it works well with more contemporary/minimalistic interiors, which is a trait that is actually fairly difficult to find.I ordered this bed because I wanted something more comfortable for my dog who is now quite old. As soon as I opened the box a toxic smell hit me, so I googled the material the bed is made from to see if it's toxic. As it turns out, memory foam may contain toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde, benzene, and naphthalene. Memory foam may also contain isocyanates, which, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, can cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and skin. The design and color of the bed are very nice - too bad it's made out of a toxic material! I returned it asap. Was surprised by how thin this mattress is. It doesn't look anything like the photos. One small flat piece of foam makes up the main bed part. The bolsters are pretty thick and sturdy. The fabric is nice and seems like it would be easy to clean. The mattress is quite small. I got a size Medium for my English bulldog and it is way too small for him. He is on the small side for a male English bulldog, so I would definitely recommend sizing up if you have a medium-sized dog.As for comfort, I haven't laid on it but my dog HATES this bed. He looks so uncomfortable on it. He chooses to sleep on the hardwood over the bed, which is super disappointing.Over all, it is okay but definitely not worth what I paid for it. Would not recommend at this price point.Great little bed for our little critter! We adopted an adult dog that was satisfied with sleeping on the ground. Not in our house! You get a bed. I was concerned with comments about the cover durability, as we discovered she's a "Sleep Digger" but so far so good! Who knew dogs would get so worked up in their sleep as to dig!I think the bed is fantastic and its a great price for this level of quality! However, it makes a crinkly sound when the dog steps on to it that my dog doesn't like. She slept in it once and that was it! My girlfriend visits with her dog though, and her dog loves it!! My dog loves the little toy that came with it though! We love this bed. The cover material is tough but soft enough. Our dog likes to dig at the spots shes going to lie down so this material toughness was a little important, otherwise she would just tear a whole in it. Most importantly our dog seems to love it. We have a memory foam bed and this bed seems just as good as the one for humans. The only complaint I can even come up with would be it was a little expensive but probably worth it compared to other beds in this price range. Overall very happy with the purchase.
