It's a little smaller then description leads you to believe but overall I think it will get the job done. It's fairly light weight and compacts doen fairly small. I got it for when I take my dog backpacking with me.We bought 2 different outrav dog sleeping bags. The rectangular one, and this one. They were essentially the same price. The rectangular one had a fleece lining, this one does not. Haven't washed either one, but the one with the fleece lining is softer, and likely warmer than this one. But, it packs up larger and is heavier, probably easier to get dirty. This one has the same material inside and out. Does look to be at least water repellant. We haven't camped with them yet, but neither one looks to be ready for sub freezing temps, and definitely not this one. Interestingly, for the rectangular bag, we ordered all gray and received the bright orange interior. This one, we ordered the gray with the blue interior, and received gray with green. Sigh. Maybe the sellers or their employees are color blind, or they don't care to send the colors ordered. We do use them inside during the winter, and the orange clashes with the room we keep it in. Florescent green doesn't look right either. But ultimately, our one dog liked both of them, especially the fleece lined one. Our other dog was kinda Meh, but hopefully will warm up to the idea of it on our next camping trip.We haven't gone on our trip yet, but our Mini Schnauzer hopped right in when I unpacked it and immediately cozied up. It's the perfect size for a 17lb pup, but any bigger pup and it might be a squeeze. The zipper seems smooth and the stuff sack isn't too tight (which is good for storage and car camping). If you are backpacking with it, you may want a compression bag to save on space. Knocked off a star because it's a touch thinner than I hoped but honestly, it seems like good value for the price.Great product and price as well. Well made. I bought a second one for my 2nd dog for camping and still the same quality and material compared to the one i bought over a year ago. I have standard dachshunds so it has more than enough room, i can add a blanket in it to add more warmth or just comfort in general.My little Morkie loves his sleeping bag. Good valueWinter camping with a puppy was a breeze, thanks to this little sleeping bag. I do wish it was a bit thicker or had warmer stuffing, but my pup was nice and cozy in it after I threw a hand warmer under her (35 degrees... burrrr). She loved it as soon as I unpacked it, and immediately sat on it without prompting. Pup also sleeps with me in my hammock when we camp, so being able to contain her in this sleeping bag made for a much better sleeping experience for both of us. I could easily move her around in the hammock, and she was so cozy she barely even noticed.Nice lightweight (weight and warm) sleeping bag for a pup. Fits well in drawstring pack. Would be five stars if larger (ordered based on dog's weight and was smaller than expected) and if some sort of traction on bottom of bag. This bag slides in tent, on grass/ground, and carpet which freaks out my dog at times.It is kinda big for being lightweight but it is still only 1 pound or so. I am glad though that it at least can hold both of my dogs. So the sleeping bag can probably handle about 40 lb of dog. The plan is to use this for overnight hiking trips
