I loved this book it gave me an understanding of what people went through in the war, how important the animals were to our Diggers during the war and the wonderful feats that some of these animals achieved. The hardships that the Diggers, people in the war zones and animals suffered and how they all tried to help each other where ever possible. The comfort that these animals brought to the Diggers. And what an awesome dog Horrie was. What Horrie achieved and the lives that he saved were amazing. I laughed at some of Horrie's antics and cried at some of the events in this book. Well written and really worth the time and effort to read.
