Street dog is the story of a good boi (if not rascally), who meets his beautiful hooman soul mate, Ursula, just as she is about to return to “Lost Angels”. He is down and out on the streets of Iquitos, Peru, when she comes across him and gives him food. However, she has to leave to catch her flight. When she gets back home, she is able to contact a local rescue group, who nurses him back to health and restores his beautiful fur, including his magnificent Mohawk. She travels back to Iquitos in the Amazon and brings him back to “Lost Angels”. This tale is beautifully told through the voice of Charlie. He introduces us to his new roommate, Gelsemina, and the locals, and the parks, and other good hoomans, including Nick. He explains how his soul mate goes on to establish a street dog rescue in Iquitos and saves many, many more beautiful good boys and girls. She teaches the children the importance of building good relationships with their animal friends, and starts a free spay and neuter program in Iquitos. This is a wonderful, heart-warming story of resilience, determination, sadness, and joy.
