I bought this to add to my invisible fence that I had installed. I sliced it into the wire easily and now my dogs can't destroy my garden. Also works well for repairs if you don't want to spend a fortune the have the invisible guys come out.Could be found cheaper but not sooner.I used it to replace existing wire in an invisible dog fence. Used cheaper wire when I installed had lots of breaks this wire is solid the other was more of an automotive grade. I highly recommend this for thistype of applications .Buy once cry once.I definitely needed help installing this wire. It is quite heavy. We have had it installed for 3 months and haven't had any issues. There were no breaks in the casing. We installed it around a 4 acre wooded area. Used an edger to create trench and it worked fine. Took about a month of training our dog. Love that he can run free now.We do about 4 acres on the farm to keep our dog sane and the regular dog sense wire just won’t hold up very long. Good price for the quality and quantityFirst I would like to say the customer service at Extreme dog fog fence is exceptional, unfortunately the underground pet containment system is "useless". I only went with it because it was a little cheaper "not much" but it had a remote trainer with it so I gave it a shot. Their wire on the hand is great and well priced.Amazon did their part getting this to me in a hurry. Unfortunately it looks like the spool was stored buried underground. The cardboard was all torn and damaged. The plastic wrap around the outside was very dirty, like more than normal dust dirty, there was actual mud on it.The product appears to be what I expected, but I’m not looking forward to installing it based on the condition of the spool. I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to fall apart while I’m putting it in.I cannot find this wire anywhere else. Using this higher gauge wire for my invisible fence was very easy and I am confident this wire will long outlast the 22 gauge wire that was used on a small fraction of the fence since I misjudged just how much wire I would actually need. We used a machine to lay this wire and it was easy, we had approx 600 feet of wire laid within a couple hours. This wire spooled out without any guidance or problem. It works perfectly with my Petsafe system. I am very confident this wire will withstand brutal Wisconsin winters since it is more insulated than the 22 gauge wire included in the invisible fence kits. I would purchase this product again if I needed to put in another invisible fence.We used this heavier wire for our underground dog fence. Works great!Just as advertised. High quality product
