I read the others review about the shoes being very heavy. I don't find them very heavy but I have already own several pair of Rocket Dog flip flops. If you're the owner of Rocket Dog flip flops you know how thick they are but I don't find these heavier than any other soles of a boot. The first time I wore them they were not slippery. Then the next time I wore them I couldn't keep them on my feet for the life of me they slid off every step I took. I had to move the strap to the heel and that's how that problem. So I can wear them with no socks and put the strap in the back and they're just fine. I can wear them with my Pilates socks and keep the strap on top and they work fine. For me they are the perfect shoe for when it's cooler or cold out when I don't really need a boot to go from car to location. I was surprised at how bright the colored specs are in the felt or wool whatever the material is on the top. The photo on the Rocket Dog site makes them look solid black. All that said I love these slip-ons.
